Bulldogs Conclude Season at SWAC Tournament


ARLINGTON, Texas | The Alabama A&M University women’s bowling team concluded its season on Saturday as the Bulldogs opened the day defeating Texas Southern, 2-1, before being eliminated by Jackson State during the second day of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Bowling Championship at the International Bowling Training and Research Center (ITRC).
 
In the win over Texas Southern, Montaya Walton rolled a team-high 205, while Rose Ugbinada tallied a 191 during team play. It was Ugbinada with a 201 in the baker format, while Tamyra Long registered a 182. 
 
In a rematch of Friday’s opening match against Jackson State, Ugbinada and Walton rolled 194 and 183, respectively to lead AAMU. In the baker format, Nariya Jackson posted a 241 and Megan Whorton tallied a 222.
