Arlington, Texas – The Nebraska bowling team went 3-2 on day one in Arlington, Texas and currently sits in second place at the 2023 Prairie View A&M Invite with a total pinfall of 5,152 and an average of 206.1.
The Big Red started the day off with a win against No. 15 Mount St. Mary’s (982-845). NU then defeated No. 2 North Carolina A&T (1,007-911), followed by two close losses against No. 1 McKendree (1,002-1,1414) and No. 3 Vanderbilt (1,109-1,117). Nebraska wrapped up the day with a win against No. 5 Stephen F. Austin (1,051-1,043).
The Huskers will resume play tomorrow at 9:25 a.m. (CT) against No. 14 Fairleigh Dickinson in a traditional match, followed by matches against No. 9 Louisiana Tech, No. 8 Sam Houston State, Prairie View A&M and No. 6 Arkansas State
Sunday morning will consist of one final traditional match against No. 7 Youngstown State beginning at 8:25 a.m. (CT). The combined results will seed each team for the championship bracket to conclude the tournament. Each team will compete in two matches of best 4-of-7 baker games for final placements and awards.
