ORLANDO, Fla. | The Alabama A&M University bowling team competed in the Destination Orlando Invitational over the weekend at SKY Lanes as the event was hosted by Sacred Heart University.
Alabama A&M went 1-12 and finished 18th.
HOW IT HAPPENED
– Alabama A&M dropped all five baker matches to begin the tournament on Friday, falling to Tulane, Stephen F. Austin, Daemen, Monmouth, and Youngstown.
– After falling to Fairleigh Dickinson, Delaware State, Arkansas State, and Emmanuel, the Bulldogs’ lone tournament win was a 935- 933 victory over UAB in their traditional match on Saturday.
– Alabama A&M fell to Texas Southern, Florida A&M, and Daemen on Sunday.
– The Bulldogs’ top weekend scorer was Rose Ugbinada, who averaged 190.4, having a 952 total pinfall. Nariya Jackson put up 923 pinfall in her five matches of action. Montaya Walton and Tamrya each recorded an 871, and Nila Dulcio rounded out the scoring with a 314.

The Bulldogs return to the lanes Nov. 3-5 in Midlothian, Va., at the Virginia Union Invitational, hosted by Virginia Union University.
