Tringali Tallies ECC Rookie of the Week Honor

West Babylon, N.Y. – The Adelphi University women’s bowling team has its second ECC Rookie of the Week of the 2023-24 season, and Thursday’s latest winner was Brianna Tringali.

Tringali joins Tiffany Wong as the two Panthers this year to be cited as ECC Rookie of the Week.

Tringali’s averages have steadily climbed as a freshman, and last week, the first-year collegiate bowler nearly matched a season-high at the Wildcat Invitational with a 173.0 traditional average.

Tringali hung right with ECC Weekly Honor Roll selection Blanca Fraticelli atop the Adelphi lineup last weekend, converting 64.7 percent of her total spares and 81.3 percent of her single-pin spares in traditional matches.

Even when called upon to bowl the 10th frame in the traditional format, Tringali averaged a 212.0 as the team’s anchor bowler.

Fraticelli’s Baker and traditional averages respectively stood at a season-best 207.2 and 194.0, after working on a mark in nearly ninety percent of her completed frames.

With the weekend off, Tringali and the Panthers will next host the third-annual DezyStrong Classic on Saturday, Mar. 2 at Jib Lanes in Flushing.
