Bowling Has Solid Outing at Cornerstone

Grand Rapids, MI – Alma Bowling was on the road at the Cornerstone University Invite on Saturday. Alma finished 3rd of 13 participating teams with a score of 6375.

Cassie White was the top finisher for Alma, coming in 2nd with a 969. Sarah Gadde came in 16th with an 869, followed by Morgan Smith in 17th with an 863. Faith Bell rounded things out for Alma with a 704 in 47th.

Head Coach Kyle Woodcock was impressed with his crew, “This weekend we wanted to build off last week. We did a better job with our spares and had contributions from all 8 bowlers. Cassie White led the way and finished in 2nd overall. We got off to a good start but struggled at the end of game 1 and we were in 7th place. After game 2 we moved up to 3rd. After game 3 we moved up to 2nd. We held there until the 1st Baker set where we dropped back to 3rd. From there we stayed in 3rd the rest of the way.”
