Alley Toppers finish seventh at Spring Hill Classic

MOBILE, Ala. – Blue Mountain Christian Men competed here Saturday at the Spring Hill Classic, coming in seventh as a team with a total of 4,939.

Nine teams converged at the event, with host Spring Hill winning overall with a total of 6,593.

Logan Akins (SO/Baldwyn, Miss.) was Blue Mountain’s top bowler, finishing 24th bowling a 1,088 total and averaging 155.4 pins.

Louisiana Tech’s Preston Jones won the individual crown, knocking down 1,471 pins and averaging 202.4.

“We started slow and had adjustments we didn’t make until late,” BMCU interim coach Bradley Palmer said.  “We fought through and finished stronger than we started.  My guys are still a younger team with one senior.  We will continue to build.”

BMC completed its fall schedule and will next compete January 21 at the MSC Lynne Jordan event in Louisville, Ky.
