Houston, Texas – The Nebraska bowling team went 3-2 on Friday at the Track Kat Klash with a total pinfall of 5,024. The Huskers finished the day in sixth place.
The Big Red, who is third in the NTCA poll, defeated No. 12 Delaware State University (1,003-888), Monmouth (914-822) and No. 21 Central Missouri (1,023-1,009). The Huskers took two losses against No.7 North Carolina A&T State University (1,027-1,068) and No. 20 Lewis University (1,057-1,063).
NU will resume play tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. (CT) against Upper Iowa in a traditional match, followed by matches against No. 14 Maryland Eastern Shore, No. 15 Maryville, No. 1 McKendree and UAB to finish the day.
Total pin results from Friday and Saturday will determine the seeding for Sunday’s bracket-play championship tournament, where each team will play three rounds of best-of-seven Baker matches beginning at 8:20 a.m. (CT)
