Women's bowling completes Midwest Classic

The Vikings opened in traditional format competition, knocking down 4114 pins across Saturday. Madelyn Lathrop led the way for the Vikings, averaging 201 pins as the weekend unfolded. Lathrop’s performance placed her 21st of 393 bowlers, rolling a high game of 234 with an overall score of 1005. She carried an impressive Saturday performance into day two, closing 31 of her 40 frames.

Samantha Novak finished second among all Vikings with a 169-place finish. She knocked down 821 pins on day one and rolled a high of 192. Novak was trailed closely by Delaney Walsh, who scored 803 pins with a high roll of 170 across the weekend.

Elsewhere for the Vikings, Samantha Olson rolled a 449 score and put together an impressive Sunday, closing out 34 of her 40 frames. Rose Klinger followed just three pins behind Olson and concluded her weekend with six straight strikes in Baker format.

Augustana will travel to Waterloo, Iowa, next weekend for the Peacock Classic. The competition will be held at Cadillac XBC on January 20-22 and can be streamed here.
