GASTONIA, N.C. — Belmont Abbey rolled a school-record game of 1152 and posted two other games over 1000 Friday morning to earn the No. 1 seed for the Conference Carolinas Men’s Bowling Championship, being conducted this weekend at George Pappas’ Liberty Lanes.
As the top seed, the Crusaders earn a bye in Friday afternoon’s bracket play and wil thus open bracket play Saturday morning at 8 a.m. against the winner of No.4 Kentucky Wesleyan and No. 5 Walsh.
In the final game of the series, the Crusaders bowled 13 straight strikes and knocked down all 10 pins in 27 of their final 33 frames.
